Sodium Hyaluronate Joint Injection Appointment
Sodium Hyaluronate 2% with Mannitol -
An effective, evidence-based treatment for managing osteoarthritis in large joints, such as the knee and shoulder.
We offer an enhanced hyaluronic acid injection that helps restore joint lubrication, reduce inflammation, and relieve pain — ultimately improving mobility and quality of life.
Thanks to its advanced formulation, this treatment typically requires fewer injections and provides a longer-lasting effect compared to standard options.
It’s a safe, non-surgical approach ideal for patients looking to manage joint symptoms, maintain function, and stay active.
Cost: £250
Combination Steroid AND Sodium Hyaluronate Joint Injection Appointment
A combined injection may be helpful when joint pain is driven by both inflammation and stiffness — the steroid helps calm the flare, while sodium hyaluronate supports smoother movement and cushioning. This can offer broader, longer‑lasting relief than either treatment alone.
Cost: £325
Important Information About Steroid & Sodium Hyaluronate Injections
Time to onset: Steroid injections usually start to ease inflammation within a few days, while sodium hyaluronate may take a little longer, with benefits building over several weeks.
Common side effects: You may notice temporary soreness at the injection site, a feeling of warmth, or a mild flare of symptoms for 24–48 hours. Bruising is also possible. These effects are usually short‑lived.
Frequency limitations: Steroid injections are limited to a small number per year to protect joint health. Sodium hyaluronate can be repeated but should still be spaced appropriately based on clinical need.
Aftercare: Keep the area clean and avoid strenuous activity for 24–48 hours. Gentle movement is fine, but avoid heavy lifting or high‑impact exercise until discomfort settles. If the joint becomes very hot, swollen, or painful, seek medical advice.
